The First Set of Rules of Golf

The First Set of Rules of Golf

The First Known Written Rules of Golf Were Drafted in 1744.

They were put into writing by the Gentlemen Golfers of Leith, now the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers based at Muirfield. The rules were written for the Annual Challenge for the Edinburgh Silver Club in 1744.

This historical document is reproduced on a remarkable quality paper that looks and feels like parchment. It truly feels like an original document. Available framed or unframed. Framed comes with faux black marble mat, gold metal frame, and all accessories for hanging. Document measures 13 3/4" X 15 1/2".
